Get answers to common questions about the campaign and County Board
What does the Kane County Board do?
The Kane County Board is the legislative body for Kane County. Board members approve the county budget, set policy, oversee county departments, and make decisions on issues like land use, infrastructure, public safety, and more. District 2 covers North Aurora and surrounding areas.
Why are you running for County Board?
I'm running because I believe I can make a positive contribution to District 2 and Kane County. With nearly 30 years of business experience in budgeting, operations, and strategic planning, I bring skills that can help ensure county government operates efficiently and responsibly. I want to give back to the community that has given so much to my family.
What's your position on property taxes?
I believe in responsible budgeting that delivers quality services while being mindful of the impact on taxpayers. My business experience has taught me how to find efficiencies, control costs, and make every dollar count. I'll bring that same discipline to the County Board to ensure tax dollars are spent wisely and effectively.
How do you plan to address development in District 2?
Development should be thoughtful and balanced. I support smart growth that enhances our quality of life, creates economic opportunity, and preserves the character of our neighborhoods. Any development decisions should involve community input and careful consideration of impacts on infrastructure, schools, and local services.
What experience do you have in government?
While I haven't held elected office before, I bring extensive leadership experience from nearly 30 years in business management and 15+ years of community service. I've served on the Naperville Jaycees Board of Directors (including as President), and currently serve on multiple professional committees. I've managed budgets, led teams, and made strategic decisions that directly translate to effective county governance.
How can residents contact you with concerns?
I'm committed to being accessible to District 2 residents. You can reach me at [email protected]. I'll be holding regular town halls, coffee hours, and community events throughout the campaign and, if elected, while serving on the Board. Your input is essential to effective representation.
When is the election?
The primary election for Kane County Board District 2 will be held in 2026. Specific dates will be announced by the Kane County Clerk's Office. Make sure you're registered to vote and check back for updates on important election dates and voting information.
How can I support your campaign?
